New Businesses!

There are a couple new businesses in our group, so we might not be posting much on this blog anymore, but I am not sure.

F. M. Patching is a decorative patching company who makes, sews, and sells custom patches. Embroidery coming soon.

Laster and Co. is a large company that dog-sits, car-washes, crochets, knits, and does a bunch of stuff like that. I am pretty sure that R. J. T. is part of it, but I don't know definitely.

Rags to Bags is a company that takes, you guessed it, rags, and makes them into, right again, bags!

The mega-popular, mega-huge company, Smile Dance Co, is still going, and we are planning SmileFest 3, so check it out!

Managing Your money

Well, once you have everything settled about what you guys want to do for a business, do something to raise money for the supplies. A lemonade stand or something like that would be good, or just get donations.

After you have bought all your supplies, you start making your products, or start getting the word out about your services. My advice? If you have to make products for the business, make them before you tell everyone about your business. Why? (1). If you find out that you don't really want to do that for a business, then you won't have so many orders to make you miserable. (2). If your product takes a while to make, or you know that people will buy lots, you won't be rushed all the time.

Back to money managing. When you are just starting out, you will want to to either have a meeting with your colleagues, or make at least one item that you will sell. Then, you can find out what you will need for supplies. Try not to buy things you don't need, and always, ALWAYS, look for bargains on things you do need. (Be honest!)

Starting a business with your friends

Well, starting a business with friends are sometimes very hard depending a well you guys get along. Anyways what you first want to do is get some options in your head. Write them done on a piece of paper. Once you have let everybody write their own idea. Then chose. And if it gets to the point where you guys can not agree then vote. And you can not vote for your own ideas you can only vote once.( here is how you vote, you get a bowl or a hat, then make everybody write down their vote, fold it up and put it in a hat. then read the vote out loud and what ever idea gets the most votes wins. And If they tie. Do it again. And if some people think this is unfair, then take at least 2 ideas of theirs in the business. And if they do not work. Take them out.)
Then start sorting out who gets to do what. And make it fair. The person's business that got chosen make them be last to pick their job. More than one person can do one job. Sometimes you might have to have 2 workers for something and 3 at the tops. Or you guys could switch off the jobs. Anyways once you have that settled. Start getting to work. And if you get in a fight. Just drop it immediately. Continue what you were doing.
